Hi lovelies,
So some of you may know that in April I did my first half day drawing workshop. It was so fun that i’m doing in again in May!
I really believe that everyone should draw, and Anyone can DRAW. ‘Anyone Can DRAW’ is happening (if you sign up ;)) on Saturday 18th May, 10-1pm.
I often hear people say they wish they could draw, or that they are rubbish at drawing. Well, I believe anyone can with some guidance, so I will be running a workshop at my home.
As my loyal followers I am sharing it here first, before hitting my social media later this week. There are only 5 places available which makes for a great 1-2-1 setting.
Saturday 18 May 2024
10-1pm, Held at my home in York
(Once you have booked on I will email you directions)ONLY 5 places available
Join me for a workshop focused around developing your drawing skills. You will learn the importance of observation through drawing, and I’ll be sharing some of the techniques that I use for my painting practice to help elevate your drawings so you can develop through practising and honing your craft. Classes are in small groups, meaning you will learn with and from your peers.
There is a variety of still life objects to choose from depending on confidence levels, from flowers to drawing mannequins for drawing people. This workshop is perfect for beginners or those wishing to develop their skills and draw with peers in a relaxed supportive environment.
During the sessions, you will learn:
How to draw various objects, breaking down what you see into shapes
Different techniques in observation and concentration
When and how to use different drawing materials to create the desired effects in thickness, shape and shading
Confidence in your abilities to reflect true life and your own artistic expression
We’ll start with a series of quick, playful warm-up exercises.
Materials and tools are provided, as well as refreshments for a mid morning break.
It promises to be a great way to start your Saturday!
If you have any questions (or i’ve forgotten anything) please email me.
Hope to see you there,
Rae x
